About

The bot is a daily tool for MPGU students. The original code was written by a two-person team; the role in the project covers infrastructure, operations, new features and the AI layer. The bachelor’s thesis “An adaptive learning platform powered by AI” is built on it and was piloted with 4,700+ users.

  • Daily classes: teacher, subgroup, cancellation notes
  • A month calendar with the number of classes per day
  • Group picker: bachelor’s and master’s, years 1–5
  • Teacher mode — classes are looked up by surname
  • Guest mode — AI chat only, no schedule
  • Schedule change notifications
  • Appearance: auto, light or dark theme, 8 accent colors, animated background

Under the hood

A Turborepo monorepo: the NestJS bot app plus seven shared packages — Zod-validated config, Prisma, Redis with distributed locks, RabbitMQ for async events, a logger that alerts to Telegram and an MPGU portal client that fetches schedules resiliently and detects changes.
